Ermm.. the mud's not painted the right colour yet. Yeah. I used wall putty mixed with grains of brick sand and Tamiya's Flat Earth for the mud. Its hard as rock now.

This time i didnt mess the photos with Photoshop. See wht happens when u dont switch on ur room lights while takin pictures?

I was a bit nuts with this dio that i sat down one night... err no let me start over...

One night... while i was lying on my bed fast asleep.. i dreamt of a story. The story was so captivating that i woke up, looked around (i.e. rolled my eyes) and immediately got up to my com. (I havent switched it off since last week. :( ...) And then, i started to pen (type) a story, which led to the creation of this diorama. Below is the actual text i wrote.:

I Trust You

War between Russia and Germany has stretched ever since the beginning of the Second Great War. Russia's initial major losses were finally subdued with the introduction of the T34 series of tanks. With more superior ability of manoueverability on Russian ground and adequete armour, German Panzer tanks don't stand a chance against them. However, as the war continued, the Russians were at the losing end again. German engineers introduced two new tanks; the Tiger tank and Panther. With its immense size and powerful gun with extremely thich armor, the T34, backbone of the Russian armour, had a difficult time conquering the enemy.

Danya and Aloysha, part of a tank desant group, jumped of the back of their T34 tank. German artillery had opened fire on their formation and pockets of troops from both sides have started exchanging fire on each other. The Germans can see the Russians perfectly; an advantage of high ground in a battlefield. But, like Danya and Aloysha, the defenders of the Motherland were lost and disoriented on the lowlands. All that the two schoolboy friends could do now was to take cover and hope they can make it out alive. Their tank, number 236, fired her main gun. She was moving forward at an extremely slow speed. Suddenly another tank from the same formation rolled over a mine a few metres away from them. The explosion that followed was loud. She lost one of her wheels and her tracks broke apart. Then, like a beheaded beast, she swerved around, anchored by the loss of her tracks and ended up exposing her rear to the enemy.

"It's a minefield!!!" someone shouted. At this point, the formation of tanks halted and prepared to hold their position. German Panzer tanks were sighted and coming in from beyond the plains fast.

Danya and Aloysha crouched behind their tank, which was now stagnant and firing as quickly as its crew can manage, its front machineguns blazing onto hidden anti-tank positions. Danya peeked from behind the tank and spotted a small cloud of dust coming from one of the Panzers. A moment later, the engine of the beheaded beast blew up and soonafter, screams of pain and agony were heard. The German round tore a huge hole, big enough for a man to walk through, into the rear end of the beast, subsequently causing the engine to explode. The commander's hatch opened up and the crew started tumbling out of the burning inferno. Danya saw that their driver had lost a leg and was out cold because of the explosion. He could also smell burning oil and rubber in the air.

Danya turned back, looked at his friend in the eyes and said,"Aloysha, we have to help our comrades." Aloysha's eyes widened in surprise. "I'll give you covering fire while you run over to them. After that you do the same as i come and join you." Dasya continued.

Aloysha stared in disbelief at Danya, who was now standing up and peeking over again to scan for enemy troops. "Danya... you are crazy! We are surrounded; there's nothing we can do but hide behind this heap of junk!"

Angrily, Danya turned back. "Aloysha these are our comrades! Nothing is more important now than to not let one of those fascists take the lives of our own blood! How can you be so selfish?! What if we were them and likewise?? If we don't get them then we'll be just two senseless schoolboys hiding behind a tank, watching them wide-eyed as they get shot by someone they don't even know!!" Danya and Aloysha looked at each other in the eyes. Aloysha had never seen Danya's eyes so red with anger before. Danya unslung his rifle and kneeled beside Aloysha.

"Aloysha... if those fascists pigs were to ever lay their sights on you, I'll shoot them dead. If they kill you, I'll get into that burning tank, turn her guns towards them, and blast every single one of them to bits."

Danya stood up again and started firing unto the enemy, which were now closing in on them.

Aloysha took a deep breath and said his last words,"I trust you."

The End.

*And by that, i went back to sleep....*
