Today has been bad.
I screwed up some assignment.
I came half an hour earlier for a production meeting.
My crew members laughed at my script idea.
I got caught in a staring incident WITH MY CAP ON.
I rushed to school from god-knows-where in Choa Chu Kang to meet Javis for dance and i came 2 hrs early.
My camera screwed up in the library.
I disappointed Clara online.
Javis called me and said he wont be going for dance and when i asked where he was.. he left school already.
He didnt want to meet up after TWO WEEKS OF NOT SEEING EACH OTHER.
He asked me to meet him at night instead.
He thought little of my new script about HIS BROTHER.
He left with his new found friends i guess.
For the first time, i sms-ed him boldly," Fuck off".
I got taken away from a conversation with Clara by a call frm Vis and when i got back, Clara was disappointed cos of waiting and went offline.
I skipped dance.
I rushed back to Yishun.
I waited at the MRT for Clara's reply to my call.
i waited under Donald's block for Clara's reply.
I walked home, carryin my jacket, camera box wit full equipment inside and my laptop.
I found out there was no cold water in my fridge.
The day's nt over.

A tragic event has taken place a few days ago.
I would like to extend my condolences to the family and friends of Hong Zhi Jian.
From what ive heard, Clara and Sheryl were friends with him since the childhood days.
I can only imagine what they and those who know him are feeling now.

Ever wondered why you and many other people around the world think that the person you love, or even your best friend, is the "bes" amongst the rest?
We've all heard it before - remarks like "No wone else is better than him. I love him soooo much." or "Our relationship is so perfect; we do this and that and this and that together plus we like the same things bla bla.... no one can be better than us." or maybe even "I tell everything to him because i know he'll listen."
Well well well.. ... .. man of these remarks are a reflection of a psychological theory known as; PERCEPTUAL ACCENTUATION.
What does it mean? To put it simply, with references to Joseph DeVito's Human Communication; A Basic Course, perceptual accentuation is the behavior of you perceiving the person you LIKE or HAVE INTEREST FOR as being better than every0ne else i.e. smarter, better looking, stornger, wiser, more experienced.
ahaaaaa now we know why *ahem* is sooooo boastful about *ahem* and why *ahem* tends to stick to *ahem* a lot.
So is perceptual accentuation good or bad?
Actually.... perceptual accentuation is NORMAL. BUT.... some of us may firmly believe in this false perception till they stop communicating with other people as they think that others are not "good enough". Similarly, it may be the exact same reason why once a couple have a relationship, they tend to spend LESS time with their friends. YES it is also NORMAL for that to happen as after all, constant interaction with another would definitely form a tight bond between each other. HOWEVER, some of us might go "too far".
A quote from DeVito's book says,"Your tendency to perceive what you want or need can lead you to distort you perceptions of reality - to see what you need or want to see rather than what is really there. At the same time it can lead you to fail to perceive what you dont want to perceive."
He has given a very nice and simple example for this. Lets say for example a person enters a chatroom in hopes of finding a date. Most of the time, he may think a seemingly female chatter's "Hi!" as a sign of her interest in dating and not just a simple greeting.
Fascinating.
Likewise if you see your dog rolling about in the floor, growling with a cushion in its mouth and the cushion's contents spilling out, you might be think that "it's cute". But then, next day you see a stray dog, skinny, grey and bald, doing the same thing, you would most likely feel disgusted by the act. Even if it wasnt a stray dog but a neighbour whome you hate whose dog looks similar to yours, you'd still feel disgusted. Why? Perceptual accentuation; you like your dog.
Perceptual accentuation could also lead you to be easily bluffed. An insurance agent who seemingly looks polite, kind and wise may just as well smooth-talkin his way into confiming a deal with you. Your boyfriend's excuses for latecoming because of work may just as well be a bluff because you are already so used to thinking positively about him. A friend would go miles to speak good about his best friend to others even though in reality, his best friend isnt that "good" as the friend would perceive him to be.
Dont these situations sound awfully familiar?
Finally, readers, think about perceptual accentuation. i believe that by clearly distinguishing perceptual accentuation from reality, it could help you in some way or the other.
I sure wished that i know this term a few years ago.
A few days ago i went to watch Mista and Missehs Smith (Smidd in Singlish) with Henry, Aik and the almighty Tharik Nezar son of Akbar. (keep in mind that Khalid and Akbar are frens.)
ahh yes the movie was interesting. the concept was new and the cinematography was somewhat awkward and broke the "ruling" somewhat. ahh yes.. media talk.
anyways i'm glad i could see them.... seems like these days... the only ones i see from "Ye Ol' Friends" are Javis, henry, Aik, Tharik, Nesh and JAASOONN~~!!! (aaaahhhhhh!! jason!!!! phheeeweeet!!).
The others? well some got lost in the jungles of love and others think they can live by their own so... yeah.
Yesterday i had dinner with aik. (that reminds me.. i wanna eat ice kachang....) After i finished eating my super expensive high class Japanese meal (that costs 3.90 and tastes like shite mixed with teriyaki sauce) and Aik was still eating his low-class Singaporean food called yong tau foo.... i took out my high class MADE IN CANADA notepad and gave him a high class HARVARD UNIVERSITY ACCENT interview.....
yeah dun u just hate it when people start boasting about other countries they've been to? erghh i have so many of that in FMS... blargh.. crapheads.
lolz no la actually i asked him how's he doing and stuff (sincerity is important in this as it will effect the efficiency and quality of communication. ahah.... psychology.) Seems like he doesnt like business IT mcuh... he's doing some engineering.. like.. building hardware and stuff (oo tts fun...) and his projects were pretty much very theory based... liek for example one of his projs is to create a computer based on a FIXED budget, that is given, to suit the needs of a certain customer. But does he go out to buy the stuff? NO. he has to sit down and just write out what hardware he'll buy. .... .... .... ...
and worse off... i aked him wht job prospects this course will lead him to, he answered, with some mee in his throat,"I dunno..."
lolz... oh and he went for facial... wheee.... so did vis. -.- boo....
and my "butt fluff" that interestingly enuf, grew on my forehead, is back. ARRGHH!!! rebond rebond rebond!
heyy yeah i was thinking of doing some beautification myself..... hmm skin whitening? bikini shave? skin treatment? LOLZ.... muahaha... ask someone come check my essentials.

well yeah some girls came over and asked where's vis.... but before i could answer they asked,"why do u look so tired today? u have sth on ur mind?"
ya damn rite i do, you sexy little babe that i'm gonna twirl around with later! Vis + probability of him smoking = angry me.
this equation applies to Ye Ol' Friends + pang seh-ing each other = angry me.
However Talkin to girls (or) conquering the dance floor with girls = happy me.
i lurve talkin to girls about personal things.. lolz....
most of them have some characteristics that u noe... ... make them have more sense and sexy-ness than guys. well most of them.

I think ever since everyone gone to poly.. they've been somehwat happier. i mean.. duh. yeah they get to do those little things that other people of "ye Ol' Times" would laugh at (for example, fishing. or... latin dancing eh?)
havent told my parents abt dancing though. once they see how much touching happens every teusday and thrusday night, gosh, they'll drop dead at the entrance. (then i get about half of my parent's assets and bank account... whee. )
oh yeah, april, the script i showed u for the video project 2 has been cancelled. (yay or boo?) we only have 3 minutes for the final edited video so yeah we're going for the default script they gave us and adding a scene of our own behind. I will show thee the finished script soon-eth.
oo and gues what i learned. we shoudlnt brush our teeth with a lot of toothpaste as toothpaste alone... is poisonous. :)how much is too much? well... once t spreads over the entire length of ur bristles, its too much. :)

another thing was for guys... before shaving.. always wet ur chin (or other parts u wanan shave.. tee hee hee.... -.- ) with WARM water. why warm water? cos warm water opens up the pores of ur.. to-be-shaved area and hot water will burn you otherwise melt u if u are the "Butter Princess".. pretty common in Mass Com. besides.. ur hairs (other than head hair) are as strong as steelwool and u really wanan shave steelwool? as jason would say,"U nuts." BUT.... ur blade must be rinsed in COLD water. ahaaaaa.....

I did the straightening thing i mentioned a few posts earlier...

Nice? err ok la... i still dunno how to style it. :(
And it seems like after i washed it a little, my fringe started to curl up again... AARGHH~~!!! otherwise erything else is straight...
however the salon-ness (???) mentioned that this would not last very long (wonder how long is that.... 3 hrs? ..... -.-" ) and recommended i go for rebonding instead. LOLZ... dot dot dot.... i thoght abt it and yeah why not... better than having a lump of "pubic hair" on my forehead eh? yeah but hse told me i have to wait for about two more months though...
and arrghhh i just bought a straightener and more haircare products and stuff today and now im broke~! zzzzz..........................................
ok ok anyways now that i'm the only one in the household since everyone else has left for Kuching... i have the house to myself till wednesday~!!! and err.... granted.. i'm scared to sleep alone. zzz so two nights before, i slept over at Vis' house... but not after we went through a little but of something earlier that night. =p i'll tell u what in a moment. Then last night i had tianyu over. We played games till abt 4am and tts when i gave up on staying awake and slept while he continued playing. Funny though.. he had to go to sch at 9am so its like.. whtver... i slept whil he was playin and when i woke up... he's gone~! gasp~! and i wonder how he left the house~! dot dot dot..............................
ahh yes... "Run" .......... it's now in its editing process. This wednesday i'll be finishing it all up for all to see~~!!! muahahaha~~!!! my FIRST HORROR VIDEO~~!!! lolz~~!! last friday when they had the editing intro class..... the lecturer used my video as an example for editing.. he took out soem of the shots to be used in the start of the video... namely, the girl running down the stairs, she stumbling out of the stairway ding dong and peeking through the door.... yeah.... he showed it all... edited it crudely (it was a bloody demo, mind you) and so far.. when they saw the shots... whahahah~~~!!!!!! nt to say i wan to say ar.. but then hor... all their eyes were fixed onto the screen lei~~!!! waahahh~~~~~ !! LOLZ.... really... i think they liked the shots~! i heard some gasps.... some comments... some "whoo~!!!"... whee...... =p.... Even when the class ended, and when we were all walking out of the room.... some guys from the other class (we combined ctwo classes that day...) were like... looking at me.. some gave a smirk... some losers were like, giving me the, "hey man i'm the same race as you i wish i could work with u" crap..... and wow man..... LOLZ..... or maybe they were thinking," omg he did the project wrong... boo~~" ..... cant wait to get my hands on to editing it~!
ok ok lets talk abt the Javis story.
Well last thursday we had our usual dance lessons.... then after that.. somehow.... we walked outta campus with a few girls... Tiff was there... a few else were there... but i wanna highlight this girl, Melissa. muahahhaa.....~~!!!
she started talking... we all talked.... She mentioned that she was takin the bus to ang mokio then back home to her hse in yio chu kang. It "so happened that" vis and i were gonna drop off at ang mo kio too and take a bus back to yishun from there (yeah rite...). LOLZ.... so that's wht we did; we all went to AMK together in a bus.... and u noe wht... her bus came so late.... the others were already gone. Ok ok firstly let me describe melissa.
She looks almost exactly like Vis's girlfriend.... vis described her as a hong kong actress..... her personality, as i found out later, was EXACTLY like clara's~! meaning.... talkative.... ...err... yeah talkative..... matured (somehow).... and very very very open-minded (did u noe that the majority of the Singapore Idol contestants have been through a process called sexual intercourse? including the last two finalists? whee...) hmmm yeah...
From the time dance stopped to the time we reached amk, she's was tlakin talkin talking..... about spanish language.... about mass comm.... about singapore's education system... about singapore tv and how much it sucks.... and about virginity and about daphno khoo (oh yeah.. she;s in mass com, ngee ann, first year, same class) wow...
so there we were... alightied the bus at amk.... it was kinda late (9pm).... vis and i were obviously tired.... she was still talkin (but hey we werent irritated... she talks sense, you know...) our bags were heavy... my hips were hurting from swaying my hips too much... and vis had to come up with this line,"Hey i'm hungry.... wnan eat anot?"
Melissa just jumped," Eat? ya ok eat! eat where? eat here? go where eat? eat? i want! i'm hungry! you guy's huingry? wanna eat? eat here?"...
And vis went,"err i think we eat here la at the intechange..."
I added," ok ok.... wanna go breeks?"
She went," Breeks? there's one here? you sure? ok.. anyting....."
Adn she continued talking an while we were walking, vis drifted beind her, and pulled me back towards him. Then he spoke softly to me abt sth.... but i couldnt hear.. so he showed me his phone.... it was a message and i thought some news came to him and he wanted to tell me about it. The message he typed read,"u gt money?"
WAARGGHHH~~~!!!!
and then i remembered; I used my money to pay for vis's dance fees~!
WAARGHHH~~~!!!!
Melissa was still talkin infront of us and we were beind her whispering to each other,"WHAT TO DO~~!!!!"
arrghh~~~!!! immediately vis and i fumbled into our pockets to look for coins or something..... i only had 5 dollars.... vis had two dollars... zzzz...............
then i saw Mos Burger and i drifted ahead of the group and stopped infornt of the restarant then truned back at them,"I think we should eat here. I;m pretty hungry and the food here is served faster."
Melissa commented," Huh? oh okay...."
We found a seat at an isolated corner of the eating place.. discussed a bit on who should go buy food.. eventually vis and i went and once we dissapeared from her view, Vis blew out," WAH LAU~~!!!! no money then still want to ask girl eat~!"
"ya la you~! who asked you take my money?!?! if not i'll havbe thirty dollars to spend, okay~!"
"wah sianz...... this is the first time i go out with girl to eat then no money.... FA*K~! then you some more ya-ya wanna eat at Breeks....."
dot dot dot..
at the counter, we had a few shiling short and i had to dig into my bag... pocket.. wallet... just to find some coins to pay the little boy beind the counter.

But well dinner was nice... somehow.... she kept telling stories... nice ones... and we started poking fun and teasing each other..... and good god~~!!!! for the first time in my 17 years of living in this world, A GIRL BEAT ME TO DEATH TO HUMILIATION~!
she actually managed to play down all my little lame comments plus teasing~! AARRGHH~~!!! even vis was dumbfounded! That night he told me,"omg.... this is the first time i have nothing to say infront of a girl."
There were many instances where she was pouting and grinning at us, who were sitting still with eyes fixed on her and emotionless throughout, across the table after a successful tease that's harsh enough to burst our balls and ego at the same time.
wow.... that's one powerful girl....
then it was time to go home.... after about 2 hrs of chatting... we talked a bit (more) and arranged to send her home by cab. where the hell did we get the money for cab? simple.... while Melissa ordered a full $6.50 meal, vis and i ordered cheeseburgers that cost a dollar and a half. :(
In the cab, she took out her wallet, took out a few notes andd SHOVED it into javi's lap, who was sitting in the front seat. then came the usual scene ofthe guy not accepting the money and the girl goes over to his fren (the one she doesnt notice) and then his fren rejects the money and a bit of commotion ensues whihc could result in unintended laughter by the cab driver.
after that, melissa sat quietly in the back seat. LOLZ....
She intended the cab driver to stop her at a junction so that we can go straight back to yishun but vis and i said," NOOOOOO!!! we're sending you home."
then comes another usual commotion of the girl saying,"no no no its ok i can walk. my house is very NEAR." and the guy retorting," its dark. you're a girl adn its ok we wont get lost plus we dont mind."
LOLZ and all the way when the taxi was inching (inching.... -.-) closer to her hse... her "nvm la i can walk i can walk~!" kept repeating and repeating. LOLZ.... but omg somehow i wished we didnt send her to the doorstep of her SUPER DUPER EXPENSIVE TWO STOREY SEMI-DETACHED HOUSE~! The taxi driver got lost a bit witht he area landed property areas are like cemeteries; lousy indications on how to get outta the place. We spinned around the area for awhile before finally getting onthe main road to yishun... Near indeed....
ARRGHHH~~!!!!

Vis and i talked abit, in the dark, in his room till it was about 2am before we slept. :)

oh ya oh ya we have a girl who looks like Candy in latin dance.... wheee i want i want vis want vis want!!! lolz... but she cannot dance... so myabe i dun want.... LOlz....

ANNOUNCEMENT..... my SECOND MAJOR VIDEO PRODUCTION has already started~! My team of seven have agreed the video location; CHOA CHU KANG.
I volunteered (and was accepted readily) as scriptwriter/cinematographer/script supervisor, casting director bla bla.... basically i'll be the one that decides what goes on screen oor not and which pretty actors and actresses will be in the video. whee.... more info soon.
tml is sunday... don and clara returns....
oo and i looooovveeeee my short short pe pants... its so short.... when i squat.... "the essentials" spill out if i wore boxes. i meant boxers.

ok la today we filmed the shots for my Narrative Video Project; "Run"
It took four hours to complete with satisfactory (SATISFACTORY ONLY~!) results and quality. Total length we recorded? Twenty minutes. :)
wow... i really feel a bit bad for putting IMMENSE PRESSURE on my crew AND actress AND the general public.
URGH~~!!! THE GENERAL PUBLIC~~!!! They make noise, they dun noe how to keep quiet, they take their own bloody sweet time to walk past the set and worse of all; SOME OF THEM ACTUALLY MOCKED MY ACTRESS~! TOOT-ENs~~!!!
ah well.... the actress Charlene got was cooperative and enthusiastic.... didnt hear her complain too... for now.... and yeah i agreed to pay her.... hmmm lunch and a game of pool? :)
i think im gonna take a step back from now on and reject most offers of me being director; the requirement of leadership AND "people" skills are just too high~! You need to tell ppl wht to do (esp if some of your crew members are slackers or, to be put more politely, not spontaneous.) plus ensure the set is secure, plus make sure the shots line up correctly plus directing the talent plus this plus that ARGH~~!!! i'm sticking scriptwriting and cinematography (thinking up of how the shots are to be like). yeah man.. more of a producer... director? no no no~~~
yeah ok anyways today i'm gonna show some frameshots i took out from a video i took of my Audio Tech class. I need to thank my teacher, Mr Chin Boo (sorry ar... i dunno his surname... :( ) for graciously letting me record his class.

Ahhhh yes... Chin Boo~~~~~ Very good teacher... able to explain almost everything related to audio..... There was once during lecture, a grp of seniors were passing by the door of the theatre and one of them stuck his body in and flicked out a bull sign with his hand and cool-y said," YEEOOOOO~~~ chin boo~~~!!!!" Then Chin Boo stopped his lecture and went up to the student and replied back, complete with hand sign and all,"Yeo yeo yeo man~~!!! " and immediately closed the theatre door, walked back to his original spot and continued teaching.

This penguin's name is Michelle (she likes to be sylo so we must call her "Mitch". I can think of many offensive words that can be made up of her nickname by just replacing one letter in it. Here, we put her into a small room sepearted from the studio.. tts where the talents would do the recording and stuff.... it's soundproof... obviously... Over here.. she's tapping the mike.. cos she finds it fascinating~~!!

Did some home renovation today. I moved my HUGE tv intot he middle of the living room, shifted the three seater into the study room... squished the tables to one corner, put in two more chairs intot he living room... threw my back surround sound speakers to the far corners of the house, near my door.... and YEAH MAN~~!!! FINALLY I HAVE GOOD SURROUND SOUND~~!!!
but i think i messed up my subwoofer though.... i dropped it on its sides... argh..... hope Bose offers insurance for its equipment.
Lolz currently imdoing my other big project; a radio commercial, for my Audio Tech class. I happened to work with the same girl im working with for Loc Pro (her name's Charlene.... and she's like.... one of those famous ones amongst the Jolin-mad fans in Singapore. I think she's someone important in the Singapore Jolin Fan club or sth.) and she gave me an idea for the commercial. Well i had mine already but i liked her idea too. Basically she's gonna do the anti-piracy hoobla. She's gonna have a singer sing... then some guy interrupts and tell her to do a retake.. bla bla bla u noe.. recording studios all tt... then when she finally gets it right.... The finished song is played... whereby the narrator.... oh ok wait she just sent me the script on msn....

Synopsis:
This commercial shows the tedious process of recording a song. At the beginning, the singer cleared her throat then she and the producer begin to start the recording. In between the recording, they encountered some problems and repeated a single sentence for a few times until they finally got a satisfied tone. This is to that singing a song is easy but recording and producing them is not as easy as others may think. Then, the singer and the producer start to bring the message across, telling people to support original and stop piracy.

Tiffany related a story to me... one time she went out with her cousins to the Esplanade.... (THE ESPLANADE~~!!!!!) and she just LOVED the view there~! But then.... there were lots of ppl then.... mayeb a function was going on.... and she just couldnt enjoy it as much as she should have. So i clicked on the "send file" button on the msn chat window two seperate times and sent her a couple of pictures i took of Singapore harbour when Vis and I were there that time. She was soooooo glad.. she kept saying thanks (with exclamation marks~!!) throughout the night... and even after she logged off she messaged me "thanks!" again PLUS one of those "God sent you to me bla bla bla" messages thingy... Lolz this is fun. Kinda reminds me how i started talking with clara and hui shi too.... sending pictures....
lolz then tiffany asked me out of the blue,"What colour do you like?"
"Huh?"
HAHA~~!!! hmm yeah. she's pretty unique (rephrased: pretty AND unique =p); Has only had one boyfriend so far (the current one), doent like saying the word,"stead" (me too~!!), doesnt mind her boyfriend dancing with other girls, and SHE PLAYS THE PIANo~~!!!! (oh yeah... btw.... JASON's LEARNING THE PIANO~! so now i reached a hypothesis.... many Goh-s play the piano.). AND SHE CAN SING~~!!! AND SHE LIKES AN JING~~!!!! AARRGHHHH. oh and she says her sec school (Henderson Sec) is near Bukit Merah and Redhill (somewhat.).... which is weird... cos in malay... Red is Merah.... Hill is Bukit... so wht the toot?

My first video project is due.
And i like to keep to one of my "commandments" and that is... if you're doing something for the first time, MAKE IT IMPRESSIVE.
Why? cmon.. we all know that first impressions (otherwise known as the primacy effect.. whoo hoo social psychology.) last much longer than subsequent impressions (recency effect).
So make the first one impressive, people will keep checking back on u even though ur subsequent attempts stink. But it wont last forever though so just keep tryin to do a good job on ur things...
ahem.
So this video is gonna be anarrative one. My Location Production (LOCPRO) teacher wants us to take shots of processes. His favourtie example seems to be the vending machine. Ya i noe.... mayb sound easy rite? Put in money, push button, drink appears. but no. It doesnt run that way in film.
The correct process would be; WALK to machine (long shot), Close up of person, take out money (detail shot), Counting money (facial expression), slot in money (detail shot), select drink (tilting shot), cut back to person, press button (detail shot), drink dispenses *ge-thunk* (anothe camera angle) and subsequent actions require seperate shots. till the person finishes drinking.
And this is not forgetting CONTINUITY in videos (basically making sure of things like light conditions are ths ame, the drink is on the same hand throughout, clothing is kept the same, position of rubbish on floor... all that.) and of course.... the proper procedure to film (which means, checking the camera, sound, lighting, slate, logging down the timing of the camera, and all that). Yeah the slate (that *kiap kiap* thingy... the one where ppl *kiap* then director says,"ACTION~~!!") is fun but after a while u get bored..... Then there's the reflector and all that.. ARRGHHH....
A one minute vidoe would take roughly 6 hours to finish shooting on average.
Anyways I've thought of my idea.... and yeah my team members (there's only three in a group. But mine feels like only two cos one of the two girls keeps slacking and sleeping.) have agreed to my idea.... a HORROR flick~! And that's my first horror flick too. So "ye ol' friends" of mine would be seeing sth new too. :) That is if i can smuggle out... no no no this is copyright infringement.
Anyways in a nut shell... we're gonna hve a cute little flimsy fragile pretty girl running up (or down) a loooooong flight of stairs. We're gonna portray her as "sth" is following her. Then she finds a safe haven somewhere.. peeks around.. here and there... Ju-on/The Eye style.... then this is where the proces thingy shows.... she finds a vending machine and decides to buy a drink (LOLZ~~!!! i noe i noe..... you're scared to heck, you've been running around a creepy place... then u find a vending machine and decide to have a drink. -.-). Otherwise i'll substitue it with a telephone then that'l make more sense.
And after the process thingy, from a long shot, we see that beside the vending machine there's something standing there. camera cuts.
of course i have other plans to *greatly* improve the visual and sound elements int he video (wow man.... it's like i have access to alot of things, especially people that understand the nature of this production and its process, that i wouldnt have if i were just filming a simple war video in a school field.

I stil rmeeber that time i took my battle scene in school. The final product took TWO YEARS TO FINISH. no la jk. actually one was done in 2003, in a span of 2 days. I must add that i was genuinely surpised that all of ye ol' frieds appeared for the filming and worked with me for more than four hours. Yeah but after that some starts to sit down or change to their black singlets. The second day of filming i had lost half my talents (cast) and had to source my talents from elsewhere. One year later, I worked with my juniors.... this time i had not 8 talents, but TWENTY. They were a mixture from HAND PICKED NCC cadets ( jai cong's batch and aaron's batch) and extras from platoons i just grabbed while they were drilling. Wht's more... i had an audioperson too within them. He helped some bit in the audio. PLUS, i had Mam and Sir's gracious permission to use the NCC room as my editing suite. I am very lucky indeed.
The second take of the battle scene had more scripted events in them plus better image quality and cinematography (camera work and all that).
After all these, i had the two seperate shots combned and produced a video of acceptable quality which i sent it up to mam and sir to aprove for the CCA open House 2005. They rejected it. *&$^$%^%^$&~~!!!!
But still.... i sent this battle scene up to Ngee Ann during my interview and here i am.

Well Ngee Ann Polytechnic is emphasizing a lot on plagiarism and copyright bla bla bla bla in its courses especially in the media courses. I think there's even a test in the proper way to acknowledge works in our projects and stuff. Lots of forms forms forms paperwork paperwork ie permission for locations, permission to use audio tracks, quotations.... stuff.
And they have also emphasized to us bloggers; NEVER NEVER SPEAK NEGATIVES OF ANYONE. Reason is that ( a common mistake made by SINGAPOREANS is saying,"The reason is because...." and that is WRONG. Reason = Because. argh.... written communication module...)
the moment we publish something on the internet, it is considered to be in a PUBLIC DOMAIN where other people can read and etc etc yeah yeah woo woo whereby the person or thing i.e. school, who takes offend of what you say about them/it has the liability (can) to SUE you.
so its like.... i gotta be kind and all that.
On to much more informal things.... i found out that i like a certain class of women; Chinese, flat chested, adorable, smaller than me. zzz flat chested? LOLZ.... i think its like... for me.. my palm size.. is enough. LOLZ omg omg THIS IS A PUBLIC DOMAIN. but its ok.... im not insulting anyone. (so its like if i insult my future wife on the net, she can sue my for big sums. Then we come home that night after court and we can share the amount she sued me for. Well done. LOOPHOLE.)
ok anyways these few days have been hectic BUT FUN. Hectic as in.... monday... lectures from eight am to six pm then out with vis or research in the library for things (hey the library is fun~~) then i come ome about 10... where i already start to see things with one eye open. lolz then other days is like... going home abt ten pm... cos of cca.. jap class.... eating with vis (and introducing now.... JASON) wheee and i think soon..... GO OUT WITH GIRLFRIEND.
MUAHAHA..... yup yup yup and this opens up a new chapter in my life... And today, right now, i shall relate this story to all of you~!
My close friends would remmeber my passive obsession with this little girl who is a year younger than i am. She's Javis' ex-girlfriend (former partner). I remmeeber this time when i was walking home one day from night class (as u can see... i like to take up courses in an attempt to broaden my horizons. but i'm still skinny!!) and i saw this couple from behind sitting on a bench, with only their head popping out from behind the back of the bench. The area they were in was dimly lit so i just HAPPENED (serious~~!!!) to walk near them and i heard "Macho Vis"'s voice and i went,"Ah-hah~~". So i peeked over the two little heads and they just turned towards me. Whee... Hui Shi and Vis sitting down there lying on each other (this was in 2003).
Yeah so i sat down (extra~~) and talked a bit about guy stuff (Hui Shi was slowly shrinking into the wooden bench) then left. But did i go off straight away to my home across the streeet? No, I didnt. Went back to them, I did, twenty minutes later, with a packet of Famous Amos cookies and a few drinks. LOLZ i rememebr that. Then i just said things likes,"yeah these are for u two....eat." then left.....
Then after the two broke up, i laughed my ass off and had a hard time finding that huge chunk which flew off. But i found it after that. Then came another chapter in my love life (my love life is so pathetic, I couldnt even produce an essay on it. Even if i did, ppl would think im gay.) In March 2004, hui shi and i started talking, thanks to donald who gave me her email address (and she just bought a comp too). That was the stepping stone (thanks Don...) to my endless (it has ended) pursuit for that little girl. The goals changed from time to time, from being JUST friends to partner to friends to a close friend. I never got to all the goals except for the last one. zz but now (about a year and 2 months later) she's nt around anymore (she nv die la knn...) cos of North view (no negative things.. no negative things.. no negative things....) and some issues that i shouldnt share. but yeah im still contacting on of her good frens (hi Hui Wen~~!!!) once in a while.... for songs and stuff. LOLZ.
Now i'm in ngee ann. There are many girls. And many unvirginatized BUT PRETTY ladies among my Film and Media School (masscommers... ARRGHHH). There are also some ver adorable ones in other parts of the campus (oh the Northern Ngee Ann has girls with pink hair and Eastern Ngee Ann has girls with high heels no la jk). But LO... and BEHolD.... or ALAS.... or HERAFTER... or THUS... WHAAAA... THUS seh..... naturally i found a few i liked. Liked. u noe.. a guy's liked is like... he sees her and *peeeeeeeeet*. ahem.
This is where i started to reflect on wht type of ladies im lookin for. Cos we have a few guys in our class who are still oogliing at girls and gosh his "pretty" or "big ber-dang-dangs" are diferent to my tastes to large extent ( a lot). So yeah this is where i concluded that (for now) I'm after; small/cute "frontal proportions", small in size, thin, adorable, Asian (as in... northern parts of asia) looks, and most importantly.... PONYTAILS~~!!!!! LOLZ.... but yeah i still give some leeway to the IMPORTANT part...
We cease to continue (stop) here due to my lack of "energizers" that enable me to function for the day's activities (I'M SLEEPY).
Geez... some people like to write down fanciful words in essays.
I'm gonna go against the "thinking" and just write how Mdm Aini (Positive comment) thought us, simple and clear. or in my words,direct, use metaphors inteligently plus FORM IMAGES IN THE READER's MINDS~~!!!

Ok so another day has passed and why am i writing this entry as an "edit" ? because i believe in not letting my readers (MY PEOPLE~~!!) miss out entries in "Da Blog-Yo" ( after all... i do have my own style of writing....."
Ok ok im coming out with a new idea now.... since the Written Communication lecturer, Mr. Patrick Wong (may the force be with him) encourages (he forced) us to write not a DIARY entry all the time in our blogs but rather a JOURNAL. So instead of things like,"Oh today i slept wiht this girl. then i go buy ice cream. wah so ex like wan to die like that and inside the ice cream gt cockroach some more. ee stupid auntie", we should write more like,"The auntie was so stupid. I wonder how many more stupid aunties are there. I think i should do a research on this. Maybe i should find more books on stupidity in old women and also make a few rounds around the neighbourhood to find out just how many stupid aunties are there. I believe that with this research, i would be contributing kowledge to the general public for their own benefit."
Yes i mean, in my humble opinion (wow... my humble opinion. pfft....) it;s a bit too "intellectual" (even for me. LOLZ whee ive always wanted to say that.... ). Oh well... they're trainin us to write expository essays (in other words... research is done FIRST. and its like in north view they expect us to write expositories on birds in an hour and a half when we noe nuts about them. Plus we get blamed for not reading enough when we cant do it when the teachers themselves no nuts about the birds.) .

Ha ha then after that we'd be sitting together... making jokes and this and that and just last night... when she somehwat forgot a few dance steps... she got me on msn and kept saying "SORRRRRYYYYY~~~!!!!! I FOULED UP~~~~!!!! I"M VERY SORRY~~~!!!!" and i'm like,"ITS OK OK ~~~!!!!! IT WASNT BAD AT ALL~~!!!! STOP SAYING SORRY I JUST FEEL ICKY LIKE THAT~~!!!"
but she wouldnt stop~~!!!
So i sighed and typed,"ok ok tml we two go on some music at the atrium (concourse) and dance ok? we show everyone then maybe collect some donations ok can?"
Then omg she was like ," HUH?!?!? no no no cannot cannot cannot~~!!!! i pai seh...."

Yeah then we also happen to be in the same CATS (creativity sth sth bla bla class. basically we get creative there.) class... where students form different courses get to mingle with one another and come up with a few creative things. So its like yeah we're in the same class uh huh yeah ok we met on the way to the block and yeah ok we sat beside each other and uh huh yeah ok we ended up in the same sub-group.. oh ok... uh huh yeah. :)
Lolz but although it may sound all well put together (hey.. she's a Saggitarius too~~!!! aquariuses and sagitariuses go perfectly well together didnt u noe that?!?) .. well i found out just a few hrs ago she has a boyfriend of 2 years.... :) what can i say.
But Clara would noe that i'm not really that kinda guy who would chase after a girl head over heels *after only meeting her for less than 4 months....*. So it's like... this girl cannot get... ok lor.... NEXT.

I found out a few minutes after lookin into the bathroom mirror shortly after i woke up. Honestly.. i was like....,"ITS A DREAM COME TRUE~~!!!"

Long before your time.... there were nine children, all of them were boys. They're not related at all; each being a jewel in the eyes of their parents. And they were lovingly named Sze Aik, Henry, Tharik, Donald, Javis, Erwin, Hock Sheng, Viknes and Jason, except for Audi.
Each of them lead the begining of their lives with not much worries. Everything was almost perfect. Many were easily contented with the little things they found on the streets leading to their home.
Till evil rose and engulfed them all in one single swoop. They were forced into an asylum, which they came about to know as North View Secondary School. Depression and sorrow lurked in every shadow of that twisted containment. Nobody could say anything. Nobody had the right to stand up after a day of squatting or even speak to say "thanks". The emotional depression was felt by everyone. And this lead to the formation of "The Nine".
Things started to get a bit better. The Depression came in much harder and forceful on their little minds everyday. That was when the Unloved One came in from a distant country. They came to know him as Audi.
They were lucky.
Audi was a blessing. He had the ability to note down things and memorize them instantly within The Nine plus a superb command of the visual and auditory gadget; the video camera. And thus, the first tape of dozens documenting the lives of The Nine was recorded.
A century has passed. The Nine, or otherwise later known as The Ten, and although its members have passed on, the legacy of these people still live on, in the tapes recorded by Audi himself. This wide collection, owned by Donald's grandson, amounts up to 50 over tapes worth around 530 hours of documentation.
And now, for the first time ever, These recordings would be edited digitally and published in a special 15 hours DVD collection next year's July.
This DVD video includes the history of The Ten, their love life, relationships with each other plus the bits of funnies and common experiences they shared with each other until National Service disbanded them. Audiences will be able to see the change of attitudes, emotions and partners of The Ten over the course of this video.

Sorry.. but we just had a a little get-together (Organizer - HOCK SHENG) just now and wow.... just last year ive heard stories of how some of the guys didnt like a few of the others and stuff like that... now everyone's like,"oh God i missed you guys." I hope that this little line is the start of a deeper and more meaningfuly relationship within the guys. I like them. A lot. I managed to meet Don ( AFTER HOW MANY BLOODY MONTHS, DONALD?!?!!) and played with him (lolz dun worry Don i wun tell wht we were doing just now) for a while. Then ERWIN appeared. Whee entertainment.... And Aik was there too... we got a few small talks and laughter going on; definitely much more than last time where he'd be like the "big guy" and im the"small guy". henry was there and yeah i think i agree with Vis.... he's changed his shape somewhat. LOLZ. body physique and all that. Then there's Sheng.. still the same... that t-shirt and black 3/4 with the ASB attitude (but he organized so hey...). Vis was the usual.. to me... LOLZ.... going and coming home from sch, plus eating together at every oppurtunity in school for two weeks i think we're okay. oh and i gave him a quick bury-nose-into-body today too at the SAFRA 7-11... lolz its just a sign of u noe.... "yeah i like u now go do ur work" kinda thing. i do that to a few ppl.Tharik? ooo wow he's shaping up and growing taller and taller. Slimmer? yes. Hairier? Arboh-den....
Jason~?? LOLZ that is a special one. SO special i put him in a seperate paragraph. lOLZ cos its like after everything was over and after we walked Vis and his girl back over to Vis's place, Jason and i walked back to my block in a very slow pace. We played a bit of catching under the blocks... cathing balls.... hide and seek... role playing (no actually i was doing that. I was Hitler, a lady computer, a Bangla, an Indian, a Chinaman, Jason's father, Jason and many more little bitty characters.) Heh heh ive never seen Jason laughed that hard (veins popping outta his baby butt smooth face and neck) before. :)
It's fun. We all had fun.. we ate at BK. Went over to Safra till late. Had a lot to talk about and laugh. I think it was PERFECT. Almost EVERYONE was there (we were lacking a Viknes) and yes no girlfriends, no mothers, no sweethearts, no cousins, nothing. (except tt Vissy had his girl appear at the very end of eveyrthing.... they're sleeping together now as u read this. unless u'er reading this at about 4pm then they'd be nuts to sleep).
okok we're one step closer to a COMPLETE family. The next gathering, i'm gonna get a camera and snap a picture of this special moment for all eternity~~!!! We never had a complete picture before. Even if we did we had many "unwanted" things inside... like a lousy background.. wrong camera exposure... extra ppl.. wrong poses... wrong attire.... stuff like that. I want something that is just.....PERFECT......
but in the end... the edning for me is always the same. I come home, mum's angry. i get a long toot-ing lecture about many things like religion, attitude, friends, and time management. This kind of lecture is what my lecturers refer to as "haphazard" or "a lecture not worth listening to".
Well i guess racism and prejudice runs in my family.....
yeah. ok ok. wun be that free anymore. poly's slowly eating me up. Vis is slowly slowly moving away to his classmates. Chris is not joining fencing so toot i'm gonna be a biitty bit more anti-social.
I love my friends. "my friends" refer to .... The nine of them. :)
Okay now which one of you guys hasnt received the "bury nose into body" thingy?????? AIK.... i noe u havent.... :)
