Just like the title says, Stalingrad is progressing. Not half done yet though. Its my first urban dio so there has been lots of repainting and rebuilding. Ive built the wall thrice! The pavement's a gonner. Im gonna try to cover most of it up with plaster and debris. I thought of putting on a little bush too just to give variety. A streetsign is out of the question though. I cant just put it above the pavement or road.

Pictures say more.

These are try-outs on the final positions of figures and objects. The barbed wire has to go somewhere else. Or maybe not included at all. Replacing it with rubble maybe. the last picture is the initial paintwork of the brickroad. Too orange. No highlight. plain. two tone. boring. Repainted it. Same goes with everything else. The wall was torn off on purpose like i said before.

Pavement. Okay... Im only using colours at hand here. So far ive painted the pavement in white first in all the little crvices to simulate er... mortar. yeah then drybrushed it with brown just to see how itll look like.... and yuck.. so i stuck to grey but the enemal hasnt dried yet so the gray blended with the brown. boo...

See that wall scar? i have no idea how to remove that. White glue is super hard now. The wood was done by first painting it white. Then burnt sienna was spread all over it. The enemal and the oil paint blended together to form this colour. After this is to add woodgrain by runnin raw umber along the floor boards. we'll see how it goes.

The brickroad. I dont know what to say. Does it even look historically accurate?

Painting the bricks of the wall.
After scribing the bricks on the wall with a pen. yeah. pen. i painted the brick portions with white enamel. left it a while and then drybrushed with another enamel colour that looked like burnt sienna.

After this dries ill be drybrushing more. then using different shades of brick colours ill highlight single bricks to give it a natural look.

So far that's it.
