I woke up again in the morning. Every night was hectic with game appointments with Tharik and Daryl - I'll be racing and testing out game demos on Xbox Live on our 360s till the midnight.. then I'll be on the battlefield with Daryl for another few hours playing BF2142. Ill go to sleep, then wake up naturally at about 8:30 which then i get ready to do whatever the day presents to me.

Its kind of a sweet feeling... like I've accomplished a certain standard and I'm reaping this new-found level I'm in.

The last day of the Hungry Ghost Festival went by last Monday. I went over to Uncle Jimmy's office in Whampoa again. There wasnt any film job going on or anything but i keep going anyways. There's never a day to lose.

I came in and he called me to the kitchen. I did, and I heard sounds that reminded me of my mom making cake. I mean, real cake.. not those obscene kinds of cake.

"Come... let me show you how to make medicine."

It's pretty cool. Uncle Jimmy has been watching my health more closely than anyone else. He's stopped me from smoking and drinking cold water and effective got me to excercise everyday.

The other time I was taught how to do perform that sucking thing.

Uncle Jimmy had some joint problems in his knee what with old age an all. He specifically ate pork to build back up the gel between his joints to combat the pain.

Auntie Linda, Uncle Jimmy's wife, got him a recipe to help him with his pain and it consisted of some kind of tree bark that had some sort of gluey substance between it.

I gotta hand it to Auntie Linda. She's helping me cure my asthmatic condition with crocodile soup. I gotta drink it every week for the next two months.

Uncle Jimmy had to take it with me too since he has some cough problems as well. Its pretty cool. He hates the taste but for some reason I loved it.

I never told me parents about it, no matter what good effects im seeing out of it. Reason being crocodile meat isnt allowed in Islam. However I remember the story when i was a baby and my parents had to fly over some crocodile meat over from Singapore overnight to me in Kuching. I had a severe attack that time. Sure, they can say I was very sick then but arent I sick now too? This asthmatic thing has been hindering my activities for a very long time already and i hate having it.

I was happy to hear that I dont have asthma but I have chronic cough, kinda like what my mom has and it's asthmatic only.. not asthma. Curable? Definitely.

uncle Jimmy toasted the tree bark and the kitchen has never smelled so delicious. Im already thinking of toasting some tree bark every day to put in my room!

The tree bark turned into fine poweder, ready to be put in a capsule and consumed.

Uncle Jimmy pointed at a stash of bottles at the corner of the kitchen and he went,"You see that? You drink that, your cock will stand very very hard."

"What's that?"

"Chinese viagra. My father make."

I looked at Grandfather Low's picture sitting on Uncle Jimmy's table...

We went down to present offerings for the last day of the Hungry Ghost Festival. Since young i've been drilled by parents never to touch any of these stuff during this month. That's basically all I know. But this Hungry Ghost Uncle Jimmy has been teaching me all about it and granted we've seen some signs of the other side infront of our eyes.

In mid-festival he was burning a bunch of jossticks and no matter how much he tried he couldnt put out the fire on the bundle. The fire was pretty big, mind you, and on such small jossticks. In the end he left it on the ground. Back in the van he asked,"Did you see that? They really rush for it."

He burned the usual pile he builds for the festival. The last day, however, the fire was exceptionally big, for the same pile size he usually burns.

Back in the van I said,"Big fire today."

"Its the usual pile size i burn you know..."

I remember that that morning it was raining too. After a while, once you see all these, you kinda appreciate the little things. Uncle Jimmy always refers to the people of the other side as "brothers". Like they're respectable people... unlike the usual idea that these ghosts are all evil.

I went over to Mediacorp today for an audition. I think I was playing the main character.

I was selected, btw. More updates soon.
