There goes another model.

On this day, my love, Die Gefuhle, parts from me, and us.

May it find happiness hereafter.

-------------------------------------------------------

I still dont get how i can love an artefact so much more than how i love a relationship.

Myabe cos i'm still not ready for a relationship?

---------------------------------------------------------

Okay, let's tallk abt time and money.

It is embedded in our society that time, and money, are the two most sought out entities by everyone.

everyone needs money to please themselves with things and also for status (well.. some). And likewise.. everyone needs time to spend for themselves.. t enjoy.. to sit down and reflect on the past with a glass of cold syrup drink in their right hand.

but hten again... this has driven many to force themselves to work all the way till the end. sure.. theymay have the money... but maybe the mney wasnt spent wisely. After all, spending money just for the sake of it or "we can do" is morally incorrect and wrong.

I had this classmate when i was taking up Chinese lessons beginning of this year.

He's caucasian.... comes in with a backpack full of god-knows-what and dresses sloppily in jeans and shirt, with a bulging tummy sticking out.

What des he work as?

one day we got to meet up.. he was going back to his home in Khatib.... and we talked.

Turns out that this guy....... doesnt work.

But he's a millionaire.

He claims that in just one year... he has earned 4 million dollars.

But how did he get that money?

well... he didnt start out rich. But he spends abot half an hour on his computer everyday, playing with the stock market.

That's it.

but of course, before all this he spent thousands to get a tutor to teaach him how to plaly witht he stock market.

And he doesnt brag when he loses some share.

He just drops one and gets another one... if u noe wht im saying.

Then he told me i was lucky.... cos i was still young (17? young?). He said that i should spend all the money in the world now.

Why?

Though not to spend money to buy clothes or shoes or a swimming pool in the middle of a field.. but rather to spend it on acquiring skills.

He says that i am still young... things get in my head easily.... i should acquire as much skills now... in anyting... before the brain starts to deteriorate.

then he said sth interesting....

He said,"Money, is nothing. Time..... is everything."

His support?

"Money comes anytime. but time doesnt."

And ive heeded his advice ever since.

Soon i was taking up modelling courses... buying korean and german language books.... taking a few risks and planning my own outings.... buying things that are useful such as this keyboard here.... taking up latin dance.. fencing....

And so far.. the only piece of clothing i have ever bought in the past 5 months or so was this green-brown pants... for $50 dollars... and one which i enjoy wearing a lot.

So even though i might be spending money like water every now and then.. i think it is good money... most of the times at least....

i think knowledge is invaluable. Knowledge doesnt mean ur academic education. I know of Bengs being more intelligent than nutcakes purring around a teacher's leg in school (we all have seen these typpes of people..... sucking up to teachers....)

Then what goes around, comes around. I think that when a person learns a skill.. no matter how much he spends just to learn that skill, all the mponey that he spends on it.. will come back... maybe in many folds!
Cause skill is not something everyone has by default (suddenly we're robots..."by default"). Though some person might seem natural in doing something very well... that is skill... skill that he has been learning for a very long time. These can be stuff such as calculations or photography.
The person who has mastered a skill that he has spend lots of time and money in.. would definitely earn sth from it. It could come in many ways; tutoring.. selling... recognition...fame.

Therefore i urge you readers, if you have not done so, to heed this millionaire's advice. Please spend ur money TO ACQUIRE SKILLS. It doesnt have to be something related to ur schoolwork. Try out new things. I believe it makes a person's life experiences much more complete, especially here in Singapore.

(i know, some might say that he/she do nt have that much money to spare on "new skills" (so they might say..)... but think abt it... arent we better off financially than most other people? The fact that u can read this blog on ur computer says a lot. I repeat, on YOUR computer..... Count ur blessings.)
